Creating a simple pair of orthotics is a deceivingly arduous task—if you do it the traditional way, that is. Often, the process involves multiple providers, astronomical costs, and lots of cold, sticky plaster. But it doesn’t have to be like that; we live in the age of tech, after all. That’s why we’re excited to announce our partnership with SOLS, a pioneering company in the emerging industry of 3D-printed foot orthotics.
Thanks to this partnership—and SOLS’s innovative technology—WebPT Members can say goodbye to plaster and hello to hassle-free custom foot orthotics. All they have to do is purchase the SOLS technology through the WebPT Marketplace—at a special discounted price, of course—and they’ll receive an iPad with a built-in app that allows them to capture thousands of data points with six images. Once the Member submits that data, SOLS creates the orthotics using 3D printing technology and NASA-grade nylon; then, SOLS ships the product to the provider’s office within a week.
WebPT’s own Heidi Jannenga is especially proud of this partnership because it allows her the opportunity to collaborate with another female tech leader: SOLS founder and CEO, Kegan Schouwenburg. “SOLS is revolutionizing the foot orthotics industry, and WebPT prides itself in developing technology that has the potential to disrupt the status quo in health care,” Jannenga said. “That’s why I’m excited to help introduce this innovative company to the physical therapy industry. I’m also personally proud to work with another trailblazing woman executive.”
SOLS definitely captured the heart and “SOL” of WebPT, and we’re confident they’ll capture yours, too. Head over to the WebPT Marketplace (click the shopping cart icon once you’ve logged in) or the SOLS website to find out more.
