Once again, rehab therapists are facing reductions in payment rates per the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Proposed Rule. In the 2024 proposal, CMS is considering lowering the conversion factor again—a move that will reduce Medicare payments to physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists by 3.34%.
