This year, WebPT is celebrating our tenth year in business—and what better way to cap off a decade of innovation than to host the rehab industry’s premier business innovation summit in our own backyard? And who better to join us than rehab therapy’s top leaders, healers, and trailblazers? Clearly, we’re super excited for Ascend 2018—coming to Phoenix, Arizona on September 28-29—and we hope you are, too.

Last year’s event in Washington, DC was a massive hit. Hundreds of providers, executives, and other rehab therapy professionals joined us in our nation’s capital for two days of education, networking, and fun. In case you missed it, here’s a quick recap of last year’s event.

This year, in addition to the top-notch speakers and experiences people have come to expect from Ascend, we’re excited to announce several new features based on past attendee feedback.

On that note, here’s what you don’t want to miss at Ascend 2018:

Track Experiences

We’ve created three different educational tracks this year: billing/compliance, operations, and executive strategy. Each track features hand-picked, industry-leading speakers who will deliver information and insights specific to you, your role, and your responsibilities. That way, you’ll be even better equipped to take actionable plans back to your organization after the event.

Extended Exchange

The Exchange offers you a chance to join your peers from across the country for intimate roundtable discussions about topics that affect you and your practice directly. It was one of the most-liked—and most-talked-about—sessions at Ascend last year, so this year, we’re doubling down and making it even bigger and better.

Tons of Learning and Networking Opportunities

Rehab therapy leaders from across the country will be in Phoenix for this year’s event, ready to share their secrets to business and clinical success. Ascend is defined as the ultimate rehab therapy business summit; all of its attendees are united by their love for this industry and their desire to achieve excellence in business and in practice. At Ascend, you’ll get the latest info on regulatory changes, learn practical business and marketing tactics, and gain vital knowledge that’ll help you grow as an industry leader.

A Glimpse into the Future

Ascend programming focuses on the current and future trends that’ll impact the rehab therapy community most. With so many great minds in one place, this event gives attendees the chance to network, brainstorm, and share ideas with hundreds of thought leaders from all over the country. Mike Manzo, the owner of Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, says it best: “The environment is not territorial; it’s sharing. People really feel invested in your success, and you want to help them succeed too. We haven’t found programming like this anywhere in the country.”

A Chance to Meet the WebPT Team

Because we’re hosting Ascend in our own backyard this year, WebPTers will be out in force, sharing our award-winning culture with everyone who attends. We’re planning several activities outside of the conference itself, so you can get the most out of your time in the Valley of the Sun.

On top of all that, we’re providing breakfast and lunch both days, all applicable CEUs, and much more. Registration is now officially open, which means early-bird pricing is here! But, we’re only offering this pricing to the first 150 registrants, so grab your ticket ASAP.

Still need convincing? Check out this recap of last year’s event:

    Are Conferences Worth It?

Networking, welcome parties, and complimentary food (and drink tickets) are nice, but conferences can run a pretty penny—anywhere from $100 to upwards of $1500 per attendee, depending on the size of the event and the caliber of the speakers. Before shelling out any of your hard-earned money to attend or sponsor an event of this kind, you’ll need to make sure it’s worth the investment of your time and money. But value isn’t one-size-fits-all. What might benefit …

Retention, Please: Why Patient Dropout is Killing Rehab Therapy Practices— and How to Stop It

Patient health is the top priority for most rehab therapists—specifically, getting patients back to a level of health that allows them to do what they love. But, when patients say “sayonara” before they reach their therapy goals, they lose the opportunity to live their fullest lives. To make matters worse, the average rehab therapy practice will lose $150,000 annually due to patient dropout alone. Talk about a one-two punch to the gut. Here at WebPT, we believe …

Common Questions from Our Physical Therapy Patient Retention Webinar

Strive Labs co-founders Ryan Klepps and Scott Hebert recently joined WebPT president Heidi Jannenga for an insightful webinar about improving patient retention and reducing early patient drop-out. We know this is a super-relevant topic, especially because the cost of diminishing patient visits represents a $6 billion problem that not many people in the industry are talking about—at least not yet. As a result, we received a slew of great questions that we couldn’t get to live on …
