This holiday season, we’re helping Santa scratch a few items off your wish list by delivering two highly-requested features aimed at giving you more time in your day. The WebPT Product team scoured our various listening posts—like our NPS surveys, our Ideas Portal, Therabill’s Suggestion Portal, and the feedback we’ve received through our Support department and interviews with our Members—to find a few popular requests. Now, thanks to the hard work of the WebPT elves, we’ve made our Members’ holiday seasons a bit brighter by enabling them to:

Customize the Scheduler to match the way their clinics operate.

With custom appointment types, you can now create any kind of appointment—from massage therapy to pool follow-up to moving your kid’s Elf on the Shelf every night (we always forget, too)—and assign color codes to quickly view what’s happening day-to-day, all directly from the Scheduler.

Spend less time sifting through closed cases.

With the ability to carry forward a returning patient’s past medical history or present medical condition, you no longer have to find and manually add this information for new or returning patient cases. If only setting up Christmas lights was this easy.

These virtual stocking stuffers are scheduled for delivery on December 16, 2015. For the nitty-gritty details about Wednesday night’s product update, check out the Community.

Here’s to spending a little less time organizing your day and completing manual tasks in WebPT and much more time making memories with friends and family this holiday season!

Common Questions from Our Physical Therapy Patient Retention Webinar

Strive Labs co-founders Ryan Klepps and Scott Hebert recently joined WebPT president Heidi Jannenga for an insightful webinar about improving patient retention and reducing early patient drop-out. We know this is a super-relevant topic, especially because the cost of diminishing patient visits represents a $6 billion problem that not many people in the industry are talking about—at least not yet. As a result, we received a slew of great questions that we couldn’t get to live on …

Don't Flex Your PTs: 4 Ways to Make Use of Patient Cancellations

Summer is approaching and, with family vacations competing for patients’ time, you might find yourself with quite a few cancellations and schedule gaps. Your first inclination may be to send your PTs home without pay. “Flexing,” as it is sometimes called, is becoming an increasingly common cost-cutting move. But, tempting as it may be to flex your PTs when things get slow, there’s a better way to use their non-billable time. Not only is being flexed insulting—your …

Channeling Your Inner Chuck Norris: How to Master the Art of Outcomes

When I was growing up, I stayed at my grandparents house after school. This meant I spent the better part of my youth tuning into whatever my grandpa watched on TV. And because he watched a lot of Walker, Texas Ranger, I watched a lot of Walker, Texas Ranger. Chuck Norris was basically my afterschool nanny. (Don’t tell him I said that.) Each afternoon, I watched this karate-kicking cowboy fight off bad guy after bad guy. He …
