You can now view comprehensive patient records in the Authorization Report by filtering for a single clinic, eliminating extra steps and multiple clinic selections. The largest file size for one document is 8 MB. Upload larger documents in multiple sections or reduce image quality settings to decrease file size. Acceptable file types include: PDF, JPG, TIFF, DOC, and XLS.
If you encounter this error but the eDoc file size and type show correctly, this may be because the document scanned in did not save properly in the PDF viewer to allow uploading into eDocs. You can rescan or resave the document through Microsoft Print by following the steps below:
This action forces the document to be saved again within the browser's PDF viewer allowing you to upload the document. For more information, please review this page on the Discover site.
The Complexity-Based options and CPT codes (Low Complexity, Moderate Complexity, High Complexity), will only show when the "use complexity-based CPT codes for evaluations" setting is selected on the insurance settings. If you do not see Low, Moderate, and High Complexity options available in the Subjective Tab or on the Billing portion of the note you will want to check that this setting is selected on the insurance.
If this setting has not been selected for the insurance you will need to:
1. Search for the insurance in Display Insurance in the Insurance Manager.
2. Click on Edit for the necessary insurance.
3. Select the Use complexity-based CPT codes for evaluations setting.
4. Save Insurance.
Once selected and you reopen the note you will be able to select Low, Moderate, or High Complexity options in the Subjective, Assessment, and Billing Tabs. For more information please check out this Discover Article.
