The CPT codes that are available for use can be customized to fit your company's needs.
Organization admin can review the codes available in the Company Fee Schedule.
- If a CPT code has Show check-box is unselected, this means that the CPT code is hidden from view & will not show as an option on SOAP notes. If you cannot locate the code:
Try (ctrl + f) to search for the code in the SOAP note utilizing the code's description/type in the company fee schedule. Evaluative codes will show if the Insurance Setting ‘Use Complexity-Based Codes For Evaluations’ is enabled. A user with Insurance Admin permissions can enable the insurance setting if needed.
To enable the code to display, a Company Admin will want to select the checkbox underneath the Show column as screenshotted down below.
If the code does not display as an option in the Company Fee Schedule at all, the therapist will need to Add a Custom CPT Code. Note: Custom CPT Codes cannot be added to the Fee Schedule and thus have to be manually and individually added to SOAP notes as custom CPT codes.
If you have a billing application, the custom CPT code should be added to the billing application's fee schedule to ensure the code flows over with a charge.
