Laura Burger is a Certified Hand Therapist, occupational therapist, and owner of Maui Hand Therapy, the first clinic in Maui to specialize in upper extremity injuries. The clinic fabricates custom splints on site. This unique offering ensures optimum comfort for patients.
Attempting to manage her own electronic documentation, Laura created PDF forms that she could complete from her computer. However, because she had to manually save documents, she did lose her work on occasion and sometimes would forget to update dates or number of visits. Additional costs in time and resources stemmed from Laura needing to print and fax documents to physicians. And then once signed, she’d have to scan the documents back into PDF format.
Additionally, access to patient charts became a challenge on days Laura was mobile or working remotely, because she could not view them on her personal computer or handheld devices. Laura also wanted everything to look more professional and for documents to incorporate her clinic’s brand.
Laura has now been a WebPT Member for over a year and absolutely loves the 60-second auto-save feature. Reminders and alerts from WebPT also ensure she does not overlook compliance details on patient charts, which has increased claim approvals from insurance companies.
WebPT is a wonderful tool for practitioners to increase efficiency with documentation. I’ve been using it for a year, and at this point, I don’t know what I would do without it.
One-click fax and email saves Laura time when communicating with physicians, and because WebPT is accessible from any mobile device, Laura is able to work remotely and while on the go.
I'm very mobile. What I like best is that I have access to all my PTs’ phone numbers whenever I need them. I also like that I can email or fax documents with ease through the program.

Customer service is really on top of things and responds to emails promptly. They are always very friendly and helpful!
