Fuhgid about it!  The New York and New Jersey Physical Therapy Associations collaborated for a Combined State conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey October 15 and 16.  Although conveniently hosted at the Sheraton Convention Center, consensus among the attendees and other vendors was that attendance was lower than normal due to location.  Those attending were therapists from many discipline areas, but mainly hospital based facilities. Despite lower attendance, the show must go on and it did.

New York and New Jersey are states where WebPT has some of our largest member base. Due to the "corporate PT" restriction in New York, private practice clinics flourish. More power to the Empire State for sticking up for small business owners and entrepreneurial PTs who want to prove that we can function autonomously!  Competition is fierce, but that breeds attention to treatment outcomes and customer service.

The conference planning committee was creative in catering to the vendors at this show.  A monopoly board with all of the vendors’ names for the real estate was given to each attendee. A $500 prize was given out in a drawing from the names of all the attendees that were able to fill their board by visiting each booth and receiving a stamp. Unfortunately for sales team, there were no sightings of the ‘Situation’ on this piece of NJ real estate.

Highlights from the CPTA Annual Conference 2010

The California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA) 2010 annual conference was held in Oakland, California this year and was very well attended with 909 participants, which was over a 100 more than the 2009 conference held in Pasadena. WebPT was well represented in the Exhibit Hall along with over 100 other vendors.  We were one of 12 companies participating in a traffic builder, in which attendees were asked to get “stamps” from these 12 vendors on a card …

Video and Photos from PPS 2012

Last week WebPT descended upon Las Vegas for PPS 2012, ready to talk EMR, technology, cloud computing, marketing, social media, and all things PT. In addition to rocking one of the coolest booths on the tradeshow floor, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and befriending new folks, too. Our After Party was a huge hit, and Brad and Heidi got a lot of great questions at their "Taking Your Practice Into the Cloud" presentation. Visit …

The Big Picture in the Big Easy: Top 3 Takeaways from CSM 2018

They say there’s no such thing as magic. Well, “they” must not have been to New Orleans. As you walk down the narrow cobbled streets of the French Quarter, flanked on either side by brick facades and three-story porches, you’ll likely hear a street musician’s melody weaving through a crowd of curious travelers, against the steady clip-clop of a horse and buggy. “N’awlins” often feels like the city that time forgot. It’s a beautiful tableau of history, …

    WebPT at PT 2012

As most of you probably know, last week was PT 2012 , APTA's Annual Conference & Exposition. It was so great to see everyone! Thanks to all our Members for stopping by our booth; we always love to hear your feedback. And, for …

Here are my highlights: Inc. 500 Two Years Running In 2013, WebPT ranked as #233 on Inc. 500’s list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. The …

    Top Takeaways From #AscendEvent 2018

This was my first year attending WebPT’s Ascend conference , and I wasn’t sure what to expect. A business conference? For PTs? It was exciting and intriguing. I also received carte blanche to write an entire blog post around my own experiences at the conference, which is an absolute dream come true! And, as a non-traditional, non-practicing physical therapist, I knew my experience would be very different from others’. So, I packed my bags and braced myself …

Think Big, Think Differently: 6 Bits of Inspiration from Ascend 2017

The overarching theme of Ascend 2017 —the fourth-annual installment of rehab therapy’s premier business summit—was, quite simply, “Think big.” But, based on what we learned from our esteemed group of speakers over the course of two inspiration-filled days in Washington, DC, a more accurate tagline for this year’s conference might have been, “Think differently.” After all, in a field as complex as health care, grand aspirations are not enough. To solve the problems plaguing this industry, we …
