Today's blog post comes from WebPT copywriters Charlotte Bohnett and Erica Cohen.

Thanks to all the rehab therapists that attended Evolve 2012: Long Beach yesterday. We had an absolute blast, and we hope you did, too. If you weren’t able to make it to California, don’t worry, we’ll be throwing another bash in New York this fall. Stay tuned for more details!

We could use this opportunity to write a fluffy event recap, but instead, we thought we’d share a summary from an actual attendee. A summary that is empowering, intelligent, and badass to boot. Check out what Mike Taylor, PT, MBA, OCS, from Ortho-Sport PT posted on our Facebook wall.

Word. We can’t thank Mike enough for this well-written rally cry. This is the exact reason why we put Evolve together in the first place. Even more so, this is why we created WebPT. We believe in empowering the rehab community to achieve greatness in therapy practice. So tell us: what did Evolve mean to you? And if you couldn’t make it, what are you doing to evolve your clinic? How are you—as Mike so eloquently said—hopping aboard the PT Millennium Falcon?

Building the Arizona WebPT Therapist Community

Two weeks ago we launched our first ever in-person members event called Evolve. This focused, local event gave physical therapists an opportunity to come together and discuss electronic medical records (EMR) software and elements that affect their practice. We were thrilled to have such engaged members and non-members attend. The discussion focused on the day-to-day business of running a physical therapy clinic. We talked about how members currently use WebPT and how it can be improved. Our …

New Orleans APTA Combined Sections Meeting 2011

Brrrr! As a cold front descended on New Orleans, Louisiana (or Nawlins as the locals say), so did just over 9100 PTs, PTAs, and PT students for 2011 CSM. Per the APTA , this was one of the best attended Combined Sections Meetings to date. The city has a lot of draw with Bourbon Street, riverboat gambling, hurricanes (the drink of course), ghost and swamp tours, and Cajun food. There was also the Rock-n-Roll Marathon & ½ …

It was so great to see everyone! Thanks to all our Members for stopping by our booth; we always love to hear your feedback. And, for …

Highlights from the NY/NJ Combined State PT Conference

Fuhgid about it!  The New York and New Jersey Physical Therapy Associations collaborated for a Combined State conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey October 15 and 16.  Although conveniently hosted at the Sheraton Convention Center, consensus among the attendees and other vendors was that attendance was lower than normal due to location.  Those attending were therapists from many discipline areas, but mainly hospital based facilities. Despite lower attendance, the show must go on and it did. New …

5 Fun Ways to Celebrate OT Month—and Maybe Win a T-Shirt!

Since its inaugural launch in April of 1980, Occupational Therapy Month has given OTs a well-deserved cause to celebrate their profession. And this year, the AOTA has given up its tradition of selecting a celebratory theme to make way for an exciting new message. They’ve developed a branded concept that truly encompasses—and honors—what it means to be an OT: “Occupational Therapy: Living Life To Its Fullest®.” Now, we’re already two weeks into April—my, how time flies!—so you …

6 Fresh Ideas for Keeping Patients Engaged Between Appointments
