Today’s post was contributed by our very own, Alex Zarazua. Thanks Alex!

This year has been a busy one at WebPT and as we near the end of 2011, we’re thankful to our members for helping us improve our system. The WebPT elves were hard at work late Friday night implementing new features and enhancements provided to us with the help of over 25 members.

One of our most exciting features is our new Patient Intake Form for those with our front office package. This allows patients to complete their basic demographic information prior to their first appointment, saving staff time during the initial intake process. We’ve also included a widget that enables clinics to host this form directly on their website.

As an industry leader, WebPT is committed to protecting patient data. We’ve taken proactive steps to enhance security, and upon logging in this morning members will notice additional requirements for their password settings. We’ve provided a user guide that includes more information about this new change.

Other updates include prescription tracking, Medicare compliance checks, patient referral tracking, an additional patient search filter and overall system enhancements. Members can access a detailed list of improvements under the News & Updates section of the Dashboard.

We’re always looking for additional ideas from our members. If you have any suggestions on how to make WebPT better, let us know! Email them to support@webpt.com.

The Ultimate ICD-10 FAQ: Part Deux

Just when we thought we’d gotten every ICD-10 question under the sun, we got, well, more questions. Like, a lot more. But, we take that as a good sign, because like a scrappy reporter trying to get to the bottom of a big story, our audience of blog readers and webinar attendees aren’t afraid to ask the tough questions—which means they’re serious about preparing themselves for the changes ahead. And we’re equally serious about providing them with …

5 Things PTs Need to Know About Telehealth in 2016

In 2015, lawmakers at both the federal and state levels recognized—and took action to alleviate—the lack of readily available and affordable healthcare options: namely, through legislation that opened the door for telehealth expansion. In fact, this Medscape article reveals that in the last year alone, “200 bills addressing telehealth were introduced in 42 states.” That’s a lot of legislative legwork. And while we can’t shrink and teleport healthcare providers through a television— Willy Wonka-style —quite yet, the …
