Did you participate in claims-based PQRS reporting in 2013? If you would like to confirm that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) received your data—or if you want to review the data that you submitted—you can now do so by viewing CMS’ interim claims feedback report for 2013.

According to CMS, “If you are an individual eligible professional who reported at least one PQRS quality measure in 2013 via claims-based reporting, you can now view the entire calendar year (first through fourth quarter) of data using the 2013 PQRS Interim Feedback Dashboard.” This dashboard displays summary data by Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and individual details by National Provider Identifier (NPI). To learn more about accessing and interpreting the data provided within the dashboard, we recommend reviewing the Interim Feedback Dashboard User Guide before you retrieve your data.

A couple of important things to note:

  • The dashboard does not provide the final data analysis for full-year reporting in 2013, nor does it indicate whether you will will be subject to any associated financial penalties or incentives.
  • The dashboard only provides claims-based data for 2013 interim feedback. Essentially, this interim report shows you what claims-based PQRS data you submitted and allows you to verify that CMS received said data. It is not intended to be a final report.
  • Individual registry-based reporting data will appear in the final PQRS feedback report and 2013 PQRS GPRO data will appear in the Quality and Resource Use Reports (QRUR). Neither of these reports will be available for review until fall 2014.

You can access the 2013 PQRS Interim Feedback Dashboard via the Physician and Other Health Care Professionals Quality Reporting Portal on QualityNet. You’ll sign-in through Individual Authorized Access to the CMS Computer System (IACS). Per CMS, if you do not have an IACS account, you should refer to the IACS Quick Reference Guide to view step-by-step instructions on how to request one.
