Trying to save money? It’s a rhetorical question (we know). With declining reimbursement rates, physical therapy clinics are always looking to decrease the cost per patient visit. For clinics large and small, fees for merchant services and credit cards may be a small, yet easy way to lower costs.
How would you like to pay only 2.75% for each credit card transaction (truly, that’s it!)? Allow me to introduce you to Square.
Square allows you to accept all major credit cards using a mobile device such as an iPad or web-enabled phone. Square is on a mission to simplify merchant service and decrease costs for small businesses.
WebPT Member clinic Physical Therapy Associates of New York announced last Fall that they started using Square. Owner Stuart Yeh wrote that “Front desk transactions are smooth and paperless, with your receipts either emailed or text messaged to [patients] instantly.”
Not only do patients receive their receipts instantly, but co-pays will be deposited the next day. That’s way better than taking a stack of cash and checks to the bank. Your time is valuable. You have a clinic to run! Let technology make your life easier.
