• Is the program HIPAA compliant?

  Yes, WebPT is HIPAA compliant. All WebPT information areas are password protected and we require all of the participating therapists to have their own individual login information. WebPT has also taken extraordinary measures to secure your health and personal information by implementing SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is the same internet security system that banks use to protect your banking information and can be trusted to secure your documentation.

• We don't run any type of PT documentation software now and all of our documentation is hard copy. How difficult would it be to install and set up WebPT?

  Integration is very easy because the program is web-based. There is no installation required. All you need is a computer with access to the internet in order to get started.

• What is the difference between a web-based format and a software system? Why would I choose a web-based system?

  There are many advantages to choosing a web-based documentation format over an older-style physical therapy software system. You can see some of these advantages which are broken down in our Product Comparison.

• How much does it cost?

  WebPT is not only the best physical therapy documentation solution for outpatient PT clinics, but it is also the least expensive. Costs are based on your documentation needs as a PT and the number of therapists in your clinic. Being a web-based system allows WebPT to minimize implementation costs keeping our overall costs significantly lower than all software programs currently on the market. A software program requires dedication to a server, upgrading of your computers, payment to an IT specialist or team for maintenance of the system, and a contract for backup services; not to mention the additional costs of installing new software versions. WebPT requires none of these costs.

• What about data backup? Will I need to save and backup all of my patient information?

  Unlike software which requires you to take the time to backup and maintain your data multiple times per day, WebPT handles all of your data backups for you. The database, electronic medical records (EMR) and all digital documentation are automatically backed up twice a day to a secured offsite server.

• How do you ensure our patients' information is secure since it is web-based?

  Absolutely. WebPT works great for both Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists in an outpatient setting. Don't let our name mislead you, WebPT is a complete rehab software system.

• How long will it take for our staff to be trained?

  Training is very quick and your entire team can usually be trained in about 1 hour. We have meticulously designed WebPT to be very user friendly even to those who may not consider themselves to be computer savvy. We offer online live training, which allows your staff to move through the program, learn how to use all of the functions, and ask any questions you might have. You have the option for newly hired staff to take the online training or to simply learn from your other Therapists. A short online tutorial will be required for all new users due to password initiation for HIPAA compliance. Our support team can always be reached via email or toll-free phone with any further questions once your training is complete.

• As an outpatient physical therapy clinic, will we see and have to get around items in the program that are for other types of clinics?

  No. WebPT was developed by PT's for PT's. The program's design caters to the needs of a clinic dealing with an outpatient population. There will be no extra or missing items that you need to worry about.

• With your physical therapy scheduling system, will it link with the rehab documentation system? Is this a complete physical therapy practice management solution?

  The WebPT physical therapy scheduling module links seamlessly with our therapy documentation system so that there is no duplication of patient information or note data. Cancels, no-shows, and reports all track between the two. It is a complete online rehab software solution.

• I am a physical therapy instructor. Do you have a physical therapy educator version of the documentation that is priced for our strict budget?

  Yes. While our standard version is still the least expensive option on the market for physical therapy clinics, we understand that physical therapy schools don't earn the type of revenue that clinics do. Furthermore, it is becoming more and more important for physical therapy students to learn how to use physical therapy EMR. Thus, our "Teacher Version" allows physical therapy educators to teach digital documentation to their students, at a significantly reduced cost.
