PQRI Reporting

PQRI stands for the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative and is a program designed by CMS to improve the quality of reporting in the medical world. Even though it says "Physician" in the title, Physical and Occupational Therapists can participate.

WebPT is one of two PQRI Certified Registrants specifically designed for Physical Therapists. We obtained our certification in 2009 and continue to work with CMS to develop our reporting tool that is fully integrated within the WebPT application.

Utilizing this tight integration with our documentation system collecting measure data and maintaining 80+% compliance is done for you. Your therapists simply just answer a few extra questions and the data is collected and stored for your clinic and then prepared for electronic submission upon the end of your claim period.

What does it mean for me?

By participating in PQRI, a clinic can earn a 2% bonus on its Medicare reimbursements for the year. Participating involves completing at least 3 of 8 eligible measures on at least 80% of your Medicare patients during the reporting period. There are 3 reporting periods:

• First 6 months of the year (January 1 . June 30)
• Second 6 months of the year (July 1 . December 31)
• The entire year (January 1 . December 31)

How do we participate?

To participate, the following steps are needed:

1. Contact your WebPT Member Rep at 866-221-1870. They will schedule a training session to bring you up to speed on how this data is collected and then turn on PQRI for your clinic. The system will ensure that your therapists complete the necessary steps so that you can reach your 80% minimum level in order to qualify for the bonus.

2. Once turned on, you will select 3 or more measures in which you would like to participate.

How do we get the bonus?

There are 2 ways to submit your information to get the bonus:

1. Gather up all of your applicable PQRI Medicare Daily Notes and report the appropriate quality data codes on service lines of Part B Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) professional-services claims.

2. Have WebPT submit them automatically for you.

Our automatic registry submission of your PQRI data will take the hassle out of making sure you have all of the necessary information. All you will need to do is cash your Bonus check from CMS.
