    Prior to WebPT everything in our office was handwritten, often with poor quality and difficult to read. Many of our staff never used a computer before and they have adapted well.     With WebPT our documentation is centered around what we do. We have PT specific workflows built right in. We used to have to duplicate patient demographics when a patient was being seen for more than one issue. What used to take an hour with our previous software now takes 10 minutes to document. We can access our schedules and files from home or anywhere with Internet access. And, with one click we can fax patient information over to physicians and insurance companies.

    We have PT's working out of patient homes and multiple locations. This made managing paper documentation rather difficult. It just took a couple weeks for our PT's to get used to the system and now it has streamlined our efforts to a centralized website where we can manage all charts, saving time and paper.     WebPT costs less than having personnel type and print notes the old fashioned way. Now we don't have to worry about note transcriptions and multiple revisions. We can communicate faster with our referral sources and the Physicians like the typed, legible notes. The transition to WebPT has been relatively straight forward.

    We were using a combination of Microsoft Access and paper and we found there was just too much inconsistency in our patient notes. Notes went missing, some notes were dictated incorrectly and we could not control compliance issues with paper. With WebPT we are definitely more streamlined. We have less problems with follow-thru and we like the templates and documentation flow in WebPT.

    We noticed an immediate improvement in consistent use of standardized outcomes measures for Medicare but also our private insurance patients. This was always a quality assurance goal but having the outcomes measures readily available in the records section of WebPT made it surprisingly easy for all clinicians to gather this data routinely.
